Ambassador Krol Opens Eighth American Corner in Belarus

On February 17, Ambassador George Krol officially opened an American Corner in the Vitebsk Center Library of Foreign Literature. Ambassador Krol joined several city and library officials in making remarks at the ceremony, and announced a donation of over $22,000 worth of printed and electronic materials to the library's already impressive English-language collection. It marked the third donation that the U.S. Embassy has made to this library.

After the official event, Ambassador Krol attended a reception with the local officials, friends of the library and members of the co-located English Club.
