U.S. Jazz Singer Tessa Souter Performs and Teaches in Minsk

An acclaimed New York-based jazz vocalist, composer and lyricist Tessa Souter enchanted Belarus with her voice during several concerts in Minsk.  On March 1 she conducted a workshop for the students and instructors of the State Academy of Music. During the workshop, the US singer directed the students to design their own music performances, and taught them some tricks of jazz improvisation. Ms. Souter answered an avalanche of questions about her singing career and demonstrated some of her own voice techniques.

Tessa Souter infuses jazz with the soul and passion of flamenco, Indian and Middle Eastern music. She has been touring widely and was highly praised by many musicians and music critics in the United States and abroad.
