U.S. Speaker on Gender Issues Addresses Belarusians

Ann Stone - U.S. entrepreneur, political consultant, writer, and expert on gender issues - recently completed an eight-day program in Belarus focusing on the role of women as leaders in political and public life. Speaking in the capital city of Minsk and Grodno, regional center in western Belarus, Stone addressed audiences at Belarusian State University, Grodno State University, Belarusian Women's League, Women's Independent Democratic Movement and other institutions. The Speaker also gave an interview to the Belarusian edition of the independent daily Komsomolskaya Pravda and participated in the live TV show "Good Morning Belarus!" -- produced by a state-run television channel -- at the end of her September 30-October 10 program coordinated by the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy.
