Ambassador Krol Speaks on U.S. Trade and Investment at Rotary International
U.S. Ambassador to Belarus George Krol attended a regular meeting of the Minsk chapter of Rotary International on December 12, 2005 and spoke to members on the topic of U.S. Trade and Investment.
Ambassador Krol covered several issues of general interest during his talk, including the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), trade deficits, and the World Trade Organization (WTO). In addition, Ambassador Krol discussed U.S. trade with and investment in Belarus, including the types of U.S. companies that are interested in Belarus and what specific factors they look for when deciding where to invest. The Ambassador closed with information about what the government of the United States is doing to promote investment in Belarus.
