The US Embassy in Minsk is grieving with Americans and others throughout the world regarding the tragic shooting in Newtown, CT on December 14.  As President Obama said:  “Our hearts are broken today.”  As a mark of respect for the victims, the Embassy has lowered its flag, as have all other US government institutions and ships at sea. The Embassy will observe a moment of silence on Monday, December 17.  We thank all for their heartfelt expressions of sympathy and condolence at this difficult moment.
