Ambassador Krol Hosts Reception to Celebrate the Music of Belarus

U.S. Ambassador George Krol was host at a reception at his official residence to celebrate the music of Belarus on July 27. The reception for more than 100 Belarusian folk, pop and rock musicians evolved into an open-air concert featuring a wide spectrum of musical genres, from the gentle vibes of traditional Belarusian singing to the harsher rock sounds. There were 23 separate performances by soloists and bands of different styles and generations, following each other on stage to present their "music card" to the Ambassador. The guests have relayed their appreciation to Ambassador Krol, expressing the hope that this will become a "regular event."
