U.S. Embassy Statement on the Passing of Irina Kozulina

The U.S. Embassy notes with sadness the passing of Irina Kozulina.  Irina bravely used her long fight with breast cancer to increase awareness of this terrible disease in Belarusian society.  The Embassy offers sincere condolences to her husband, political prisoner Aleksandr Kozulin, and her two daughters, Olga and Yuliya, and repeats its call for the release of all political prisoners.
