U.S. Embassy supports HIV/AIDS prevention through photo exhibit

On July 26, 2012, the Belarusian Red Cross Society presented a U.S. Embassy-supported photo exhibition by photographer Dina Kotikova aimed at breaking stereotypes of people living with HIV. The photographs in the exhibition featured people living with HIV as well as their partners and children. The exhibition opened at the “City” club in Grodno and the opening included a concert of well-known Belarusian artists and a display of topical installations, artworks, and souvenirs. The event was a part of the U.S. Embassy Small Grants Program supported project “HIV/AIDS Prevention” which included a topical educational program, roundtables, distribution of informational materials, and organization of an installation exhibition, flash mobs, and public events.
