The US Embassy Funded Project Launches in Gomel
Project participants create a group collage
On June 29 Non-Governmental Charitable Jewish Women’s Organization “Kesher” conducted a competitive selection of participants of the project “Youth Stage.” The project is funded by the US Embassy Small Grants Program and implemented in cooperation with the Regional Department of Youth and a Psychological Center of Human Capabilities. Kesher aims to prepare talk show hosts and actors of educational theaters who will later lead the NGO’s interactive events for local youth on social themes.
The board of professionals in the sphere of culture, arts, education and psychology evaluated performances on creative tasks that allowed all the participants to demonstrate their talents. Thirty students and university teachers, NGO members and social workers communicated as equals, worked collaboratively and supported each other. The event wrapped up with a group collage called “I am in the Project 'Youth Stage'” where everyone’s individual identities were expressed on paper. Sixteen finalists were selected. They took a picture in anticipation of educational events and actual performances.
