U.S. Expert on Political Philosophy Lectures in Minsk
During the week of April 13-19 the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy sponsored a U.S. Speaker's Program for Dr. William Gay, Professor of Philosophy at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. Gay, a well-known expert on social and political philosophy, addressed the themes of public policy discourse, politically correct discourse, and linguistic violence. His agenda included six guest lectures to undergraduate students and faculty specializing in cultural studies at the International Institute of Humanities (IIH) of the Belarusian State University (BSU) which was a local sponsor of the Speaker's program.
