Embassy Minsk Conducts First Trivia Night in Belarus

On June 1, US Embassy Minsk held the first Belarusian American Trivia Night, a fun event that tested knowledge of Belarusians about American culture, literature, music, history, and other topics. Participants worked in teams of four people to answer questions.  Each correct answer gave the team a point and the team that got the greatest number of points won a grand prize.

More than a hundred people wished to take part, so the organizers had to limit the number of teams to twelve and promise the rest to be included into the upcoming Trivia Nights that the Embassy hopes to conduct on a regular basis. The age of participants was various – from high-school to university students to young professionals, and many of them were participating in an embassy event for the first time.  All of them showed great interest and enthusiasm through the course of the game and expressed their desire to participate in the upcoming Trivia Night events in the future.
