U.S. Embassy Opens “Days of American Culture at Your Library” in Borisov
Christopher Panico announces the donation of English language books and audio resources to Borisov Central District Library
On November 23, acting Charge d'Affaires a.i. Christopher Panico visited Borisov Central District Library to announce the donation of 142 English language books and audio resources on American art and language teaching, as well as to kick-off two Embassy-sponsored photo exhibits. The event took place in the framework of the “Days of American Culture” program initiated by the PAS and supported by the library. “I do hope, this is project is just the beginning of our long lasting partnership” Panico said in his remarks. Over 60 high school students and teachers of English gathered in the library gallery for the official ceremony. The Library Director Ms. Dubrova and the Deputy Chairperson of the Local Executive Committee thanked the Embassy for bringing new resources to the library and expressed their willingness to partner with the U.S. Embassy in future.
