American Corners

The American Corners concept was created to increase mutual understanding between Belarus and the United States by making available information about America in a variety of formats. The American Corners aim to provide accurate and current information about the political, economic, cultural, educational and social life in the U.S. Each American corner, which is located in one of eleven Belarusian public libraries, is open to the public, including: students, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, government officials and the general public. Anyone who wishes to learn more about the U.S., Education in the U.S. as well as travel and business, or contact their colleagues and counterparts in the U.S. can feel free to visit the nearest American Corner.

The American Corner collections include:  books, CD-ROMs, videos, Internet access, programs, and a professional bilingual staff trained to help you find desired information about the United States. The American Corners welcome and encourage visits and information requests from anyone who wishes to learn more about America.

Find more information here on the twelve American Corners and their upcoming programs and events.
